Drop Point Forge and how we got here.

As a young hunter, fisherman, and general outdoorsman, prowling the woods and lakes of South Eastern Pennsylvania, I was always in need of a sharp blade. Unfortunately, along with youth, a lot of cash was not a usual occurrence. I would make due with whatever store bought blade I could afford. After years of having to constantly sharpen blades, I set out to find just how hard could it be to make a knife. Well, as it turns out, its pretty darn hard to make a good, quality blade. I must be a bit of a masochist as I’ve been hooked ever since. The Heat of the forge and resounding ring of the anvil as hammer strikes glowing steel really captivated me from the first swing. Now, I have had the honor and pleasure of being featured in several publications as well as appearing on the seventeenth episode of the fifth season of the hit History Channel television show, “Forged In Fire”.
